About the Site:

Two Foodie Brothers is put together by Aaron and Sam Stollar. We’re brothers, foodies, sports fans, amateur cooks, and dreadful bakers. We hope this will be a place where we can share our passion for cooking and food while having a good time as well. Our tastes don’t always intersect, so expect some fun especially whenever candy, drinking, or durian (long story) comes up. Plus, Sam has become a stereotypical pretentious wine buff, while Aaron is quite the beer nerd. Both of us live in Northern Virginia, just outside Washington D.C.

About the Authors:

Aaron is the older of the two brothers and a devoted fan of Asian food and Belgian beer. Built with an iron stomach and insatiable curiosity, he’s tried just about every strange bit of organ, mollusk, bivalve, and street meat ever put in front of him. An early obssessive fan of Anthony Bourdain, he too believes that cooking (and really anything involving knives) is best done while drinking. Always up for local dive exploration, there is hardly a hole-in-the-wall kebab shop or taco shop in Fairfax County that has not seen his presence at least once. His greatest food wish is for proper Mexican resturants to finally open in the area.

Sam is what happens when a young, impressionable, and carniverous young boy is exposed to Yan Can Cook and The Frugal Gourmet from too early an age.  (And there was no joke intended with regards to the Frugal Gourmet)  Add the fact that this young buck grew up in one of the most ethnically diverse areas of the country, home to Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, Ethiopian, Lebanese, and virtually every other immigrant community and what have you got?  A food-driven, food obsessed, and food-centric LOON who at breakfast is planning lunch, and at lunch planning dinner, and on and on.  This blog will be a real-time chronicle of me and my brother’s culinary exploits across the D.C.
